Job Description
Australia’s fastest growing bank, the Bank of Queensland, has an Owner Managed branch in North Rockhampton that is looking for a Lending Manager on a fulltime basis who shares our determination to change the face of Banking.
The Lending Manager is responsible for achieving business growth and sales targets for retail, business and commercial lending - thus playing an integral part in enhancing BOQ’s profile within the community and increasing market share.
As the Lending Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities through planned marketing initiatives directed towards the retail and SME commercial market, as well as managing external relationships with potential clients and industry contacts/intermediaries.
Required Skills
Essential - At least 3-5 years retail and business lending experience.
Essential - Proven ability to generate new business in the retail and small business markets.
Essential - Highly developed relationship building skills at all levels of business.
Essential - Demonstrated high level of selling and negotiation skills.
Required Experience
Sound knowledge of the retail and small business market and competitor products.
Sound knowledge of industry changes.
Ability to manage complex business banking customer connections on a day to day basis.
Ability to identify an acceptable lending risk to the Bank and to maximise profit from that transaction.
Proven ability to build a referral network.
Demonstrated ability to analyse complex financial statements and assist in preparation of detailed credit submissions.
Ability to provide informed commercial feedback to customers on a day to day basis.
Highly developed negotiation skills.
Ability to persuade others and sell concepts and ideas in a business to business environment.
Ability to express ideas clearly both in written and oral communication.
Public speaking / presenting skills.
