Job Title: Brockman 4 - Fixed Plant Operator - HR0016033

Located 60 kilometres north-west of Tom Price, Brockman 4 is the newest of Rio Tinto's Pilbara iron ore mines. Opened in 2010, this open pit operation offers a family friendly fly in fly out roster with state-of-the-art camp facilities.Brockman 4 is a central hub for facilities and support services for nearby Brockman 2 and Nammuldi.
Reporting to the Supervisor Fixed Plant Production, you will be providing general maintenance services to a variety of plant and equipment in order to ensure that they are in a clean and serviceable condition at all times.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Ensuring all operating and maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with State and Federal regulations
Cleaning and changing of screens in an efficient manner
Operating plant and equipment such as dozers, loaders, crushers, conveyors, reclaimers and stackers
Ensuring that hosing of plants and back up control is carried out on a continuous basis
Monitoring, controlling and recording plant operations, defects and breakdowns
Promoting safety awareness, environmental responsibility and safe work practices
Achieving efficient production levels on a continuous basis.
To be considered for this role, you will possess a manual unrestricted driver’s licence along with sound experience in operating a variety of fixed plant equipment. Your high motivation, safety consciousness and adaptability coupled with sound understanding of a control room or crusher operations will be essential for this role. Additionally, your trade qualification in a relevant discipline will be advantageous.
